Oops.

I seem to of cast on for something else (so much for self control), found out my nephew and his girlfriend had their baby on Sunday (7lb baby girl) so I've started a jacket for them.

There is also a matching hat and booties, so I shall be busy working on that this weekend.

I've decided to make the 3-6months size as everybody seems to buy a newborn..well newborn sized clothes and I wanted to make something that would be handy for when baby is past that point.

It's been a lot of years since I had small children and it's really nice to be able to work on some baby clothes and actually have an excuse to do so, pattern is from Let's Knit issue 1.

Booties, again.

They were so cute I made a pair in blue as well. As I still don't know anybody with babies I'll hold on to these until I do.

It's a Debbie Bliss design that I got free with Simply Knitting magazine, they work up so fast makes it real gratifying.

I knitted these booties a while ago, didn't know anybody having a baby and my kids are a bit big for them so just stashed them along with a matching hat.

Then a lady I work with became a grandmother for the fist time, hurrah somebody to gift the booties and hat to. She was very happy and reported that mum and dad were as well.
